NORTH SALEM, N.Y. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. on Friday as North Salem's annual Homecoming Weekend swings into action.
Events kick off with the high school Dodgeball Tournament, followed by an old-fashioned Athletic Pep Rally at 7:45 p.m. The evening culminates at 8:45 p.m., with a display of fireworks at North Salem High School.
Athletic contests will be under way at the high school all day on Saturday.
Here is a schedule of the weekends athletic events:
Friday, Sept. 28
3:30 p.m.: Varsity Tennis vs. Mahopac High School at Lakeside Field Club
4:30 p.m.: Varsity Swim vs. Harrison High School at Louis M. Klein Middle School
5 to 7:30 p.m.: Dodge Ball Tournament in the North Salem gym
7:45 to 8:30 p.m.: Pep Rally in the North Salem gym
8:45 p.m.: Fireworks behind North Salem High School
Saturday, Sept. 29
10 a.m.: JV Field Hockey vs. Somers High School at the North Salem hockey field
10 a.m.: JV Volleyball vs. Somers High School in the North Salem gym
10:30 a.m.: JV Boys Soccer vs. John Jay East Fishkill High School at Tompkins Field, North Salem
11:30 a.m.: Varsity Field Hockey vs.Somers High School at the North Salem hockey field
12 p.m.: Varsity Volleyball vs. Somers High School in the North Salem gym
12:30 p.m.: JV Girls Soccer vs. Walter Panas High School at Tompkins Field, North Salem
2:30 p.m.: Varsity Boys Soccer vs. Horace Greeley High School at Tompkins Field, North Salem
4:30 p.m.: Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Walter Panas High School at Tompkins Field, North Salem
Saturday evenings Hullabaloo, sponsored by the North Salem Foundation for Learning, has been cancelled due to the forecast of inclement weather.
