Verizon and AT&T both received overall scores of 94, while Sprint received a 74, and T-Mobile a 64, the report said.
All four of the carriers received scores above 80 in calling with Verizon getting a 97, AT&T a 94, Sprint a 91, and T-Mobile an 83. Verizon customers only have .6 percent of their calls dropped, while AT&T customers have 1.6 percent dropped, Sprint 2.9 percent and T-Mobile 3.7 percent, the report said.
The companies also scored very high when it comes to text messaging, all receiving scores above 95 and at least 88 percent of the time texts will be received within 10 seconds, the report said. Sprint averages a 3.2 second delivery time in the county, while the other three average between 3.5 and 3.8 seconds.
AT&T edged Verizon when it comes to data performance 93 to 90, with Sprint getting a 51, and T-Mobile a 37.
RootScore is an independent consumer advocate to help people make informed decisions regarding mobile providers. The organization conducted about 17,000 mobile performance tests in the area to create the report.
