Bergen sheriff’s detective makes road-rage arrest

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: An off-duty Bergen County Sheriff’s Office detective grabbed a trucker involved in a road-rage incident on Route 17 in Rochelle Park last night and placed him under arrest.

Detective Kevin Dempsey said Bartolome Olivero, 33, of Passaic, got out of his truck and assaulted the other driver before 8:30 p.m. Backups quickly arrived and Olivero was taken into custody.

He was charged with simple assault and released on a summons after being processed.
