Ibo Boone, 30, was charged with murder Tuesday and held on $1 million bond. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Norwalk Superior Court on Wednesday morning.
Boone was charged with murder in the death of Michael "Mizzy" Robinson Jr., 21, police said.
Robinson was shot to death in the area of South Main Street and Grove Street in Norwalk on Oct. 29, 2010, according to a statement.
According to the arrest warrant affidavit, Boone was 23 at the time of the homicide, which was related to street gang activity in Norwalk.
The arrest is the result of an intensive investigation by the Norwalk Police Department in conjunction with the Cold Case Unit in the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney and the Office of the State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Stamford/Norwalk.
“While a case may be considered ‘cold,’ it is never closed. I wish to thank all who worked so diligently on this investigation and to reaffirm our commitment to work to bring some sense of closure to families who have lost loved ones,” said Norwalk Police Chief Thomas Kulhawik.
Robinson’s slaying was included in the fourth edition of the cold case playing cards produced with the Department of Correction and sold to inmates in the Connecticut corrections system. Information on Robinson’s death was on the king of clubs card.
Boone, who most recently was living in Waterbury, was held on $1 million bond.

I wish to thank the Norwalk detectives, the cold case unit and the State’s Attorney’s office for their work on the investigation,” said Richard J. Colangelo, Jr., state’s attorney for the Judicial District of Stamford/Norwalk.
The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Stamford/Norwalk and the Cold Case Unit.
