Westchester Native Joan Rivers' Former Home Sells For $28M

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The former home of Larchmont native Joan Rivers sold for $28 million dollars, according to The New York Times.

Rivers grew up in Larchmont before her comedy career brought her to Manhattan.

The Upper East Side residence where Rivers lived for more than 25 years until her death last year sold to "Middle Eastern royalty," according to The New York Times.

The penthouse was a 5,100 square feet and 11-bedroom triplex. The $28 million sale was the week's most expensive closed sale according to city records and The New York Times.
