Congratulations to the Cottle Theater Club on their performance of “The Cottle-High School Musical” co-directed by Cottle educators Gianna Cozzali and Vanessa Nastri.

After rehearsing for several weeks, our fourth- and fifth-grade students gave a tremendous performance to our K-5 students and to our parents in the evening.

Special thanks to Miss Derbin and the Cottle Art Club for their works on the sets, and our stage crew volunteers.

The Fourth Annual Cottle Science Fun Day in partnership with the IBM Corporation was held March 5. Professional engineers and scientists partnered with over 220 Tuckahoe students in grades K-8 to share their love of science and technology.

I want to give a special thank you to the Tuckahoe PTA for supporting this event, and to Dr. Julia Kaufman and Jennifer Kiley who spearheaded this enrichment project four years ago.

A thank you also goes to the Cottle teachers, the custodial staff, and the 25 THS student volunteers who helped make this day possible.

Cottle parents, Lori Tortorella and Branko Djurkinjak served as this year’s co-chairpersons, along with many additional Cottle parent volunteers. Cottle parents Laura Donovan, our IBM contact, and Stephen Vance, our on-site physicist, made incredible contributions.

All of you did an amazing job organizing and executing this event. The activities were spot on - the kids loved them.

The end result was an amazing day for our school.

Cottle Assistant Principal Peter Kilgallen along with the PTA arranged for Keenan West, nationally recognized anti-bullying presenter to deliver his important message to our Cottle students in grades K-5 on March 7.

His program was most informative.
