Auditions for the variety show take place between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. in Room 253 on Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday.
Participants in the variety show may sing, dance, perform a comedy routine or come up with a skit, parody or satire.
In other Tuckahoe school news:
- New or gently used children’s books are needed by Nov. 20 for a book sale planned by the Tuckahoe Middle School National Junior Honor Society. Books can be dropped off at the Cottle School office or at the middle or high school main entrances.
- Breakfast with the Principal sponsored by the PTA took place on Tuesday morning and evening with principal Ellen J. McDonnell.
- The newsletter also highlighted the school’s success with Google Expeditions, a virtual reality platform still in beta mode. The district was one of the few in the world chosen to participate in Google’s Pioneer Program.
- Eight boxes of food were delivered to Lifting Up Westchester following a food drive at the schools.
- Seventh-graders took a field trip to Museum Village and learned about broom making, weaving, butter churning, running the general store and drug store, as well as what school was like in colonial times.
- School will be dismissed at 11:07 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, and closed for Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27.
