Donate Books In Tuckahoe This Week To Help Tornado Victims

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – The Tuckahoe School District is teaming with members from the PTA to help families, children and schools in need following the devastating tornadoes that swept through Moore, Okla.

The Tuckahoe PTA Community Service Committee is collaborating with the non-profit organization “Family-to-Family” to send age appropriate new books to students in need.

This is one of several book drives around the area, state and country that are being run to help re-stock the school libraries that were destroyed by the natural disaster.

Beginning on Monday and ending Friday, books can be donated to Ben at the front desk of the Cottle Elementary School. The PTA is seeking books for students between the ages of 5 and 12.
