Known as the carbon footprint, attendees will learn how food has been produced and transported, and about its impact on the environment. You will take home a “Carbon Footprint” chart to help you make more environmentally responsible food choices.
This is the first in a series of “Environmental Literacy” programs at the library. Completion of all programs for your age group will earn a “Green Citizen” badge of honor.
The presentation is on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for children in grades three through six in the Children's room of the Eastchester Library. Online registration began on May 9.
