Eastchester School Officials Urge Public To Push For More State Aid

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. The Eastchester school district is asking residents to urge local and state officials to provide additional financial aid to the Eastchester schools. School district officials argue that the state has a budget surplus, so no longer needs to apply the cuts that it instituted in 2009.

The school district has a model letter on its web site. Residents can access the site to automatically send the letter to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and elected officials representing Eastchester in the state Senate and Assembly.
