Eastchester, Tuckahoe Schools Closed Wednesday

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Eastchester and Tuckahoe schools will be closed for the third consecutive day on Wednesday, as the towns continue to recover from Hurricane Sandy.

“Due to power outages, downed wires, downed trees and road closures, we have been advised to close all schools on Wednesday,” Eastchester Public Relations Coordinator MaryEllen Byrne said.

The districts ask that readers spread the word to other parents who may be without power, Internet and phone service.
