National Wear Red Day Tops Tuckahoe Middle School News

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- The seventh grade students of Tuckahoe Middle School participated in National Wear Red Day on Friday, Feb. 5.

Science teacher Anne Richter organized the American Cancer Society's day to raise awareness of heart disease in women.

In other news, the Valentine's Dance has been moved to Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. The dance was moved so it isn't attached to February Break. Permission slips are due by 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 19. 

Interim Schools Superintendent Charles Wilson, his successor, Carl Albano, now the assistant superintendent, and Board President Dr. Julio Urbina will meet with parents and guardians for a town hall-style forum on Feb. 11. 

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Middle School/High School Library. 

Students do not have a full week off for February break, and classes will be in session on Feb. 18 and 19.
