Dear Cottle parents:

The Fifth Annual William E. Cottle School Science Fair for students in grades K-5 was a huge success again this year. Parents and students had a wonderful learning experience viewing the educational science projects articulated by Cottle students.

A special thank you to the Cottle staff for preparing our students for the event and the Cottle Science Fair Committee. You can view the Science Fair on Cable TV, Channel 27, Verizon FiOS and Cablevision channel 77 starting on Thursday, Jan. 28.

We want to thank Cottle parent Elena O’Mahony, coordinator of the Box Top school-wide program for donating a substantial amount to the school’s Cultural Arts and Enrichment fund. As a result of this initiative, we were able to sponsor wonderful cultural arts assemblies, the Katya Grineva (world famous Russian international pianist) classical piano music concert at Cottle and the trip to Carnegie Hall in NYC, along with the purchase of numerous school decorations for our winter and spring concerts.

A special thank you to Carol Donnelly and the Tuckahoe School Foundation for the wonderful grants provided to the Cottle school children this year. The grants included the Italian language program, enrichment grants, etc., which all helped enrich the lives of our students.

The Tuckahoe PTA is proud to offer the fourth annual Science Fun Day, open to all Cottle and TMS students. Join us on Saturday, March 5, at the Cottle School, for a morning of fun and hands-on science activities. A donation of $5.00 per family will be collected at the door. Registration is required for this event and must be submitted by Feb. 5. Click here to register

All coats, sweaters or other clothing that is on the PTA Lost and Found coat rack in our cafeteria will be donated to charity on Feb. 1 and June 15 of each school year.
