TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – The Tuckahoe School District has canceled the Superintendent’s Conference Day, a scheduled day off for students, to make up for the day of classes missed Feb. 27 due to a power outage.
Originally, the scheduled makeup day for students was Wednesday, March 27. But to preserve the continuity of spring recess, classes will instead be open April 29.
Due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy, schools were closed for a full week, causing classes to be canceled during winter recess, from Feb. 19 through Feb. 21.
