The goal of the diversity club is to explore and address diversity across various subjects and foster a welcoming inclusive school community. The club’s first effort will be a Diversity Day in the upper schools on Wednesday, to spark dialogue and interest among students.
Diversity Day is designed to recognize, understand and celebrate diversity within the scope of content specific common core curriculum instructional practices and methodologies. The day will feature a “Mix It Up at Lunch” including film and musical video montages, announcements throughout the day, and an online reflections journal and map where students can pin all of the places they may have visited.
