Westchester Schools Rank Among Nation's Best

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Four Westchester County Schools were ranked among the best public high schools in the nation by bestcolleges.com, including Horace Greeley, which took the top overall spot among the 50 schools ranked.

  • Best academics
  • Safest
  • Best teachers
  • Best facilities 

Greeley's students rank above the national average in SAT/ACT scores and 99 percent of the student body is rated as proficient in math and reading.

The school also boasts a graduation rate that is 17 percent above the national average.

Other area high schools that made the list include:

  • Byram Hills (No. 15)
  • John Jay (No. 35)
  • Scarsdale (No. 36)
