Dear Cottle Parents:

We are pleased to announce that the Master Strings lessons at Cottle School, with internationally known conductor/cellist Bryon Duckwall, were a huge success again this year. By popular demand, we will have two more final classes on Thursday and Friday from 3:05-5:05 p.m.

Last call to send in your request for this year’s incredible Holiday Cultural Arts Concert event with Katya Grineva, international award-winning, Russian-born classical pianist. She will perform for the 15th year at the Main Concert Hall in Carnegie Hall on Saturday, Dec. 26 at 8 p.m. for the Tuckahoe School community; up to two students free with paid adult. The spectacular Classical Holiday Concert will feature songs like Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite,” Rodgers’ “My Favorite Things” and other holiday favorites. Students are free, compliments of the Generoso Pope Foundation.

On Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., Cottle will host our annual Winter Concert, featuring the Cottle chorus, strings and band students with pianist Katya Grineva performing some holiday favorites to inspire our children. Special thank you to room representatives Mrs. Fleming and Mrs. Angello for organizing this year's fifth-grade wreath and poinsettia fundraiser.

Please remember that we are still going outside for recess. Have your children come to school with winter coats, hats and gloves.
