Dear Cottle Parents:

On behalf of the staff at William E. Cottle Elementary School, we want to wish you and your families a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.

Please send students to school on time. Late arrivals will be marked on report cards. Notes to teachers should be sent in with students or sent by email. Calls to the office or from students to home should be in emergencies only.

Cottle students’ 2016 New Year’s Resolutions to their parents and teachers:

  •  I will remember to bring my lunch, snacks, water, etc., to school every day so my parents don’t have to deliver them to school and interrupt classes.
  • Monies for class trips or special programs will be placed in my backpack the night before so my parents don’t have to deliver them to school and interrupt classes.
  • My completed homework and school books will be put in my backpack the night before so my parents don’t have to deliver them to school and interrupt classes.
  • I will bring my musical instrument to school so my parents don’t have to deliver it and interrupt classes. In fact, if I forget my instrument, I will simply miss practice on that particular day. I will be responsible.

Remembering to do these things will avoid our parents from making unnecessary trips to school and disturbing class instruction time.

Our library has now been converted to a state-of-the art Media Center, which allows children to expand their research beyond books to include technology.

Don’t forget to tune in to see the children’s December Winter Concert on Cable Channel 77 and FIOS Channel 27.
