Jordan Tucker, a former standout at Archbishop Stepinac in White Plains, announced Saturday that he has committed to Duke University.

Tucker, who transferred to Wheeler High School in Georgia for his senior year, announced his decision on Twitter: "Officially a Duke Blue Devil."

The 6-foot-7 wing forward chose Duke over Kansas, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Oregon, Villanova, Indiana, Dayton and Creighton.

"I spent a long time thinking about this college decision and am excited for the next step of my career," Tucker said. "When weighing in all the factors, one school has the combination of great academics and basketball. It feels like the best decision and fit for me.

"I know people may not agree with my decision, but I'm just a kid from White Plains, NY following my dreams."
