At the annual Penn Relays, which brings some of the region’s top student-athletes to the University of Pennsylvania for the track meet, members of the 4x400-meter relay team finished second, with a time of 3:56.82, breaking the previous record by .02 seconds.

Members of the relay team - Eve Balseiro, Caroline Brashear, Laura Holland and Kaitlin Ryan - put up the best time in the state for Division 2 schools, and beat the previous school record of 3:56.84, which was set in 2015 by the team of Kirsten Ircha, Caroline Kirby, Holland and Ryan.

Holland and Ryan didn’t settle for their record-setting performance. The two also competed in the 4x800-meter race, along with Patty Haggerty and Sydney Coddington, finishing sixth overall with a time of 9:25.58 - their best mark of the season. Their time was also tops in the state for Division 2 schools.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Alisa Kanganis, Sophie Kohlhoff, Sabrina Mellinghoff and Margot Richards also had their best time of the season in their event, 51.20, which was good for second place at the Penn Relays and in the state.
