Eastchester Blue Devils Football Sweeps Rockland

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Three Eastchester Blue Devils Youth Football teams were victorious versus teams from North Rockland last Sunday at hometown Haindl Field and each is preparing for this weekend's slate of games.

The Devils Jr. Pee Wee’s upped their record to 2-1 with a 26-0 win as the defense dominated, holding the visiting Red Raiders to minus offensive yardage. Jack Brien, Roger Burwell, Marc LoParrino and Andrew Lubrino led the defensive push and Perry Guilianti, Dean Calby and Riku Ishida also played well.

Eastchester flexed its offensive muscle with Derek Robertson scoring on a long touchdown run and then connecting with Ryan Cooper for two additional scores via the pass. Ajani Mena and Nick LoParrino also scored touchdowns behind strong blocking by the an offensive line anchored by Anthony Fernandez, Eduardo Paez and Karan Mehta.

The Jr. Pee Wees face the Suffern Mounties Sunday.

Blue Devils Mitey Mites 13, Rockland 0

The Mitey Mites were led by Luke Phillips, who had a quarterback sack, and strong tackling by Salvatore Esposito and Justin Pesco as the Devils held Rockland to just one first down on offense.

Eastchester's offense scored twice in the first quarter with Matt Sabatino and Angelo Sperandio crossing the goal line. Daniel Cade and Henry Donohue led the offensive line's blocking in a strong overall team effort that lifted the hometown team to a 2-0 record.

Blue Devils Pee Wees 32, Rockland 7

Eastchester's Pee Wee team easily defeated North Rockland on touchdowns by C.J. Watford, Luis Cruz and Eric Darcy. The defense was anchored by Scott McGrath, Owen Anastas and Drew Walpole.
