Eastchester Blue Devils Football Hosts Mitey Mites Day

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - The Eastchester Blue Devils Youth Football Club hosted the 2012 Mitey Mites Day last weekend, celebrating with teams from Westchester and Rockland counties.

Thirteen teams and seven cheerleading squads, totaling nearly 500 children, enjoyed the festivities at Eastchester's Haindl Field.

The Mitey Mites youth football teams include player 45 to 90 pounds. The Blue Devils team won its opening game of the season.

Blue Devils Pee Wees Fall to Monroe
The Eastchester Blue Devils Jr. Pee Wees (65 to 105 pounds) suffered a tough loss to Monroe last Sunday 13-6.

Eastchester’s only score came on a touchdown pass from Derek Robertson to Dominic Nicolo, who also had an interception.

Andrew Lubrino, Roger Burwell and Eduardo Paez played well for the Devils on the defensive side of the ball. Nick Mastrandrea and Mateo Marinavic stepped up and help the defense after team leader Ryan Cooper was injured.

Nick LoParrino, Perry Guilianti and Dean Calby also played well for Eastchester, which hosts the North Rockland Red Raiders at Haindl Field in Eastchester on Sunday.
