Eastchester came into the season with high expectations but suffered a few injuries to its already shallow roster, which began the season with approximately 30 players. The Eagles are also finishing a brutal three game stretch against Poughkeepsie, Rye and Yorktown in consecutive weeks.

The Huskers have lost twice in their first three games but Yorktown still has shown it can be a strong team. The two losses were against perhaps the two best teams in Section 1 Class A and the Huskers’ lone win came in a gutsy 35-34 overtime performance against Ossining.

Yorktown will get a break from its rough schedule when it faces winless Eastchester. The Eagles have struggled against their competition this season and were blown out by Poughkeepsie and Rye, two teams at or above Yorktown’s caliber.

This game features two teams that started the season with playoff aspirations but have struggled out of the gate. One team will be back on the path to the postseason when the game ends Friday, while the other will continue to fall in the wrong direction.
