Eastchester Girls Lacrosse Routs Sleepy Hollow

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Clarissa Mejia scored four times to lead seven Eastchester players who scored at least once in a 20-9 victory over visiting Sleepy Hollow Monday.

The Eagles evened their record at 1-1 after opening with a 13-5 first half surge and playing strong defense in the second half to earn the victory.

Laura McMahon added four goals, Gabby Pinto and Gail Kheyman added three apiece, Janie Marcin scored twice and Kirsten Minichino and Amanda Mocchia each scored a goal.

Eastchester goalkeeper Katie Fiegenbaum turned away 11 Sleepy Hollow shots to earn the win in goal.

The Eagles have revived their girls lacrosse program in the last three years. The Eagles won one game two years ago and four last year.
