Eastchester in semifinals of District 18 softball

Defending champion Kensico begins play Wednesday in the District 20 Little League Softball majors division.

Kensico will host White Plains at 5:45 p.m. at Pat Henry Field. White Plains advanced to the semifinals with an 18-4 win over Hastings.

The other semifinal Wednesday is Eastchester playing Sherman Park at 7 p.m. at Volunteer Field. Eastchester moved into the semifinals with a 12-0 win over Ardsley behind pitcher Kristen Farrell.

The semi-final winners play in the winner’s bracket final Sunday at 4 p.m. at Volunteer Field. Ardsley and Hastings await the semi-final results to determine their respective opponents in the loser’s bracket. Both games will be played Friday.

Ardsley draws the Kensico-White Plains loser at 5:45 p.m. at Pat Henry Field and Hastings gets the Eastchester-Sherman Park loser at 7 p.m. at Gedney Field.
