Poll: Who Will Win Class A Boys Basketball Playoffs?

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Eight teams remain in the Section 1 Class A boys basketball playoffs as the quarterfinals take place this week.

Top-seeded Byram Hills High Schools pulled off a miracle comeback against Beacon High School in the opening round and will host No. 8 Somers High School in the quarterfinal round. The Tuskers knocked off No. 9 Gorton High School to advance past the first round.

Fifth-seeded Peekskill High School will travel to No. 4 Albertus Magnus High School for a quarterfinal matchup. The Red Devils survived a scare against No. 12 Pearl River High School in the first round. Albertus Magnus, which won back-to-back Class B championships, is playing in its first Class A tournament.

The 10th-seeded Pelham Memorial High School Pelicans squeaked past No. 7 Nyack High School, 56-54, in the opening round to set up a date with No. 2 Eastchester High School. The Eagles beat No. 15 Rye High School by eight points in the first round.

Finally, No. 6 Tappan Zee High School will face No. 3 Poughkeepsie High School in the fourth quarterfinal game.
