Tuckahoe Storms Lincoln Hall in Class D Playoff

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – The Tuckahoe Tigers opened a 36-0 lead over Lincoln Hall Saturday and the big deficit and mounting autumn snowfall convinced Lincoln Hall to forfeit in the second half of a Section 1 Class D semifinal game played at Tuckahoe High School.

“It was my dream since I was 10-years-old to play a snow game like this and it finally came true at my last game ever at Tuckahoe High School,” senior Gary Moss said. “Next stop is a tough Haldane team up at Mahopac High School for sectionals.”

The defending Section 1 and New York State Class D champion Tigers (6-2), seeded No. 2 in the tournament, and advanced to the title game against No. 1 seed Haldane to be played at Mahopac High School on Saturday, Nov. 5.

Tuckahoe running backs Shyheim Nixon and Nick Reisman each scored twice and Moss added a diving 30-yard touchdown grab of a Mike Castracucco pass.
