EASTCHESTER, N.Y. The Tuckahoe boys basketball team extended its unbeaten streak to 12 Friday, taking the measure of border rival Eastchester 71-56.
The Tigers upped their record to 12-0 at the expense of the host Eagles, who played the visitor tight in all but the second quarter when Tuckahoe made a 23-9 run to open a 35-21 halftime lead. Tuckahoe had a 15-0 run to start the second quarter.
Sky Williams led all scorers with 26 points and Justin Nolan followed closely with 23 for the Tigers. Williams had seven rebounds and six assists and Shyheim Nixon had four points, eight assists and eight rebounds.
Jack Daly led the Eagles with 16 points, Kevin Teahan scored 12 and Dave Solano had 11 points.
The teams were tied at 18-18 after one quarter and played the third and fourth quarter with Tuckahoe outscoring Eastchester 35-34.
