David Segrue Of White Plains, Popular Teacher In Rockland, Dies At 50 David Segrue, of White Plains, a popular teacher in Rockland, died Saturday, Aug. 3, at age 50. He was a special education teacher and resource consultant for the North Rockland School District for 25 years. He was born on June 4, 1969, in Flushing, New York, to Carolyn (nee Lipton) and Daniel Segrue.  He loved the theater, art, music, high-end shopping, the beach, dinner with friends and family, traveling, and laughing. He was also a voracious reader, says the obituary. Ex-Westchester Assistant Principal Under Investigation In Fairfield County Students at one Fairfield County school found a new principal at the helm on Thursday after their former leader was placed on leave pending an investigation. Darien's Hindley Elementary Principal DJ Collela has been placed on leave, the district told parents in a letter sent last month. Although the details concerning his leave were not released, the school is apparently looking into his conduct as a principal.  Collela was appointed to on July 1, 2016.
