Atheists have no homeland. Same for Buddhists, Lutherans and Hindus among others. There are places that are predominantly Hindu (India) but it isn't the Hindu homeland. In 1948, people were kicked out of their homes to make room for this homeland. Some of those are still alive and there's no wonder why they and their descendants aren't happy about it. That's why there shouldn't be an Israel and the way it was implemented was terrible. I'll put the question to you that nobody has been able to answer for me-why should there be an Israel? The minimum wage increases everyone's costs. The worker who isn't worth what the minimum wage pays is a drag when he/she is on the dole from the gov't. What someone earns and agrees to work for is no concern for anyone but the employee and the employer. You can refuse to work for what's offered or you can quit but working for less than the state approved minimum doesn't bother anyone else. If you can do a difficult job and do it well, you'll earn much more than the minimum wage. View Comment

Bigger departments aren't always better. The more detached from the public they are, the more bureaucratic they become. Instead of knowing your name, they're now impersonal and that means bureaucratic service. View Comment
