It is however, understandable that Carly's safe being must be the priority and the reason I noted the "Friendly Village" in place of the Village Mamaroneck; as well as Mario noting me "Mayor of Westchester".... Great report....Please note it was my grandfather, Nathan Sirlin, who built the first apartment houses...The first is where the House of Flowers is located on Mamaroneck Ave. and the second is the building located on Mamaroneck Ave. and Warren Ave. View Comment

The ranking by CNN, upon review, shows the Village of Mamaroneck as NUMBER ONE in NEW YORK STATE. Due mostly to the local business, school systems and PRIMARILY to the volunteer groups that give the Village of Mamaroneck its' great character and high quality of life, for all to enjoy, who live and visit our "Friendly Village". One only has to look at our Volunteer Fire Department, Chamber of Commerce, Harbor Island Conservancy, Community Action Program, Washingtonville Housing Alliance, Elks, Kiwanis, Rotary, Community groups fostering programs like, Harbor Fest, Mamaroneck Shares, Firemaen's Carnival and Parade, Kiwanis Car Show, and on and on.... truly a fine example of America at its' best.
