Eastchester Could See Some More Snow To Start Workweek

The "surprise storm" that swept through the area Saturday afternoon and evening did not leave much in terms of accumulating snow, but slick road and icy conditions resulted in numerous vehicle crashes.

The chance of snow and a wintry mix will start in the morning Tuesday.

Some slick spots will remain in the area Sunday before the temperature climbs to a high of around 40 under sunny skies.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day will also be bright and sunny and an even warmer daytime high of between 42 and 44 degrees.

Before a midweek warmup sets in on Wednesday, there is a chance of some more snow Tuesday as the new workweek starts.

The chance of snow and a wintry mix will start in the morning Tuesday, likely after the end of the morning commute at around 9 a.m. and end before noon as the temperature climbs. Little or no accumulation is expected. Rain is likely in the afternoon Tuesday, with the high reaching the upper 30s.

Rain and showers could continue overnight, but the precipitation will stay all liquid as the overnight temperature will remain slightly above freezing.

More rain is expected Wednesday, mainly in the morning, during a day in which the high temperature hits 50 degrees in some parts of the area.
