"The main threats from these storms are going to be isolated damaging wind gusts to 60 mph, which can bring down trees and power lines," AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.

Humid, steamy air will not only help ignite the heavy storms but could also lead to flash flooding.

"Aside from the damaging winds, the storms will produce rainfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour," Edwards said.

There is a chance of rain throughout the day Sunday, which will be mostly cloudy with a high in the low 80s.

Precipitation is most likely in the afternoon. The storm chance will last until 2 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

It will clear up on Monday with sunny skies and a high near 80.
