Through Tuesday, Jan. 3, the short-term two- and three-hour parking meters in Downtown Pelham will don their red bags, signaling the free parking.
"I can't wait for the bags," Marylouise Judge told Daily Voice. She's the owner of Framed by the Judge, at 104 Fifth Ave.
She was very busy, completing framing orders, but she rapidly noted her appreciation for the village's policy, as well as the decorations.
"They put nice wreaths up," she said. This time of year, she has a lot of customers picking up their frame jobs -- yes, pun intended -- and the free parking certainly helps.
The Pelham Police Department will still enforce the time limits on the meters, though, to ensure maximum access to the spaces. Call the Village Hall at 914-738-2015 with any questions.
