Hundreds will rally at Concordia College, all with the hope of raising money for the American Cancer Society.
Relay For Life is an overnight community celebration where individuals and teens camp out, dance, play games and take laps around the track to raise money to fight cancer.
The event opens with cancer survivors leading the way around the track with the honorary “Survivor Lap.” There will be luminary lights around the track that will each be lit in honor of loved ones who have won or lost their fights with cancer.
The annual event has spread to more than 5,200 communities nationwide and 25 countries. Relay For Life raises millions of dollars each year.
The opening ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. May 11 at Concordia College.
