Eastchester Resident Creates Newest Baskin-Robbins Flavor

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – In December, food stores across the country are going to have a tasty tidbit of Eastchester in their local Baskin-Robbins locations.

Eastchester resident Liz DeCecco will soon have her creation on shelves in Baskin-Robbins.

Last week, Eastchester resident Liz DeCecco, the winner of Baskin-Robbins’ “Create Baskin’s Next Favorite Flavor Contest,” travelled to Burbank, Calif., to create the first batch of her victorious “Oreo Cookie Dough Obsession” ice cream flavor.

The newest Baskin-Robbins flavor brings together traditional flavors with a combination of chocolate fudge ice cream, a whipped cream ribbon and pieces of Oreo cookie and cookie dough.

This was the third time that Baskin-Robbins has invited its patrons to become “digital” chefs by mixing their own ingredients virtually to create their ideal ice cream flavors.

Oreo Cookie Dough Obsession will be available at Baskin-Robbins locations across the country in pre-packaged quarts, beginning in December.

Outside of Carvel in Tuckahoe, Carol Stephens said that she is looking forward to enjoying a sample of her neighbor’s creation.

“It’s pretty crazy that a flavor someone one town a way created will be sold everywhere,” she said. “I love chocolate, Oreos and cookie dough, I think I’ll be trying this when it comes out.”
