What's Happening Around Eastchester This Weekend?

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – There will be a wide variety of things for residents to do in and around Eastchester, Tuckahoe and Bronxville this weekend. For a full listing of happenings, see our calendar.

Friday, July 6

Film series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue its film series when they show “The Artist” starring Jean Dujardin. The run time is 100 minutes. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Family film: 3:30 to 5 p.m. The Bronxville Public Library will be showing “Home on the Range” in the Yeager Room. Run time is 76 minutes. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Saturday, July 7

Saturday service: 5:30 p.m. The Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville will be worshipping on Saturday. 172 White Plains Road, Bronxville. 

Tuckahoe fireworks: 7 to 9:30 p.m. The Tuckahoe Summertime Fireworks Extravaganza is being held at Parkway Oval. Entertainment begins at 7 p.m. and there will be music by Father Nelson and the Backsliders as well as Angie Mongelli. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Rain date: July 8. Lake Avenue and Bronx Street, Tuckahoe.

Worldfest 2012: 7:30 p.m. There will be Georgian dancers at Untermyer Park in Yonkers. The event is made partially possible through funds from Westchester County government. The event is done in coordination with the Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. 845 N. Broadway, Yonkers.

Sunday, July 8

Sunday worship: 10 a.m. St.  Luke’s Episcopal Church is holding Holy Eucharist followed by coffee hour. This Sunday is “Children’s Sunday.” 98 Stewart Ave., Eastchester.
