Randall Cutler, 43, is charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree – a class D violent felony – and six counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree – class A misdemeanors.

According to the District Attorney’s office, following Hurricane Sandy on the morning of Nov. 1, 2012, Bronxville police officers responded to a domestic dispute between Cutler and his brother on Westway.

Power had not yet been restored to the area, and the dispute arose over the use of a generator in the house that is co-owned by the brother and their parents. The dispute led to an argument, which concluded with Cutler pointing a gun at his brother and sister-in-law from a staircase.

Police arrived at the scene and subsequently arrested Cutler. During a search of the premise, the defendant was found to be in possession of four handguns, a switchblade knife and brass knuckles.

Cutler’s $50,000 cash bail was continued. He is due back in court on Sept. 4. If convicted, he faces a maximum of seven years in state prison. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Patrick Moore, the chief of the Firearms Bureau.
