The suspects got into the Homesdale Road home through an unlocked front door on the ground floor, according to Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale. It marks the third burglary in the village this month.

Over the weekend, two men reportedly confronted two homeowners in bed at their Summit Avenue home, breaking in through a second story window before obscuring their vision them with a flashlight and making off with cash and jewelry. Earlier this month, a small safe was stolen from a Governors Road residence.

On Tuesday, the New York State Crime Stoppers offered up a $2,500 reward for information that may lead to an arrest of the men who broke into the Summit Avenue residence. Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale requested that residents with surveillance cameras on their properties for assistance in the investigation.

“We are requesting anyone with cameras in proximity to Homesdale Road, including: Sunnybrae Place, Sturgis Road and Locus Lane to contact the police department immediately,” he said. “Please lock your homes at all times and secure valuables. Pocketbooks, laptops, cell phones should not be left within plain view from exterior windows and doors.”
