Two Suspects Nabbed In Westchester Pharmacy Armed Robbery Attempt

An investigation into a daytime armed robbery of a pharmacy in New Rochelle has led to the arrest of two suspects who were apprehended in Putnam County over the weekend.

New Rochelle Police Commissioner Deputy Commissioner Robert Gazzola announced on Monday that Mahopac residents Brian Dias, 31, and Tina Spearmon, 22, were arrested by officers from the Carmel Police Department on Sunday for the alleged robbery of the Main Street Pharmacy in New Rochelle.

Gazzola said that the two were arrested following a stop in the vehicle believed to have used in the alleged robbery on Friday, July 13. It has since been impounded, pending a search warrant.

Dias and Spearmon were arrested and charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon. They’re both being held, pending arraignment. Gazzola said the incident remains under investigation.
