With a full house of family, friends and well-wishers at Town Hall on Tuesday, eight town officials who won re-election in November’s vote officially retained their positions in Eastchester’s local government.

Town board members Joseph Dooley, Glenn Bellitto and Theresa Nicholson joined longtime Eastchester Town Supervisor Anthony Colavita, who has been in office for more than a decade, at the swearing in ceremony. Additionally, Town Clerk Linda Laird, Receiver of Taxes Rocco Cacciola and Justices Janet Calando and Fred Salanitro - a former board member himself - were also sworn into office.

According to Colavita, “he and the Town Board will continue to make Eastchester better, with the help of fellow residents,” thanking voters and pledging to “keep Eastchester affordable while maintaining the high level of services residents enjoy.”
