Placements are not done based on parent requests.
Parents who have particular concerns in regard to placement should convey them to school principal Theresa Cherry in writing no later than April 29.

The process takes into consideration program needs, ranges in ability, boy/girl ratio, behavioral concerns, and other criteria.
The support staff, along with classroom teachers have input in deciding the makeup of the classes and the delicate balance that must occur.
Second-grade placements are made at Waverly, by Waverly staff.
Placement letters generally will be available toward late August, after screening of all new students has been completed. Changes to these placements cannot be made.
