Dear Middle School Parents/Guardians,
As the summer draws to a close, I would like to share some important information with you. In previous years, each student received a mailing in August containing numerous documents related to the upcoming school year. In an effort to reduce expenditures and be more environmentally friendly, those mailings will now be completed electronically using a combination of the Eastchester Middle School website, School Messenger and Home Access Center.
On Monday, August 17th, important documents regarding the start of school from both the Middle School and the School District will be emailed to you using School Messenger. These documents will also be posted on the Middle School website that day should you not receive them by email.
On Tuesday, August 18th, student schedules will be available through Home Access Center. If you wish to obtain a printed copy of your child’s schedule without using Home Access Center, please contact the EMS Main Office and one will be mailed to your home on August 18th.
Should you have any questions related to your child’s schedule, please contact your child’s guidance counselor. All students will receive their locker number and combination on the first day of school. Students should only bring a notebook, a folder and a pen or pencil with them on the first day of school.
The Middle School will be open after school until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3 and Friday, Sept. 4 for students and parents to bring in supplies and set up lockers. Please note that the school will not be open to students and parents on Tuesday, Sept. 1 and Wednesday, Sept. 2 unless a previous appointment has been scheduled due to the staff being involved in professional development activities.
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. On behalf of the entire staff of Eastchester Middle School, I would like to wish you a wonderful remainder of the summer and I look forward to working with you during the 2015-2016 school year.
Scott J. Wynne, Principal
