Tuckahoe Students Selected For Music Competitions

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Several Tuckahoe middle and high school students were recently selected for local and state music competitions.

The Tuckahoe School District announced that Tuckahoe High School student Lindsay Lebert would perform in the Area All State Chorus and student Liam Davis would play in the Area All State Band, according to a press release. The programs are set to begin at 8 p.m. Nov. 7 at SUNY Purchase. The students will "compete for placement in one of six All State performing troupes," according to the release.

The district also announced that Tuckahoe Middle School students Samantha Ingram, Cassidy Lombardo, Molly Colassaco, Maryam Kajoshi, Renz Toledo and Eric Murphy would perform in the Intermediate All County Chorus for seventh and eighth graders. Sixth-graders Sydney Nealis, Alexis Pinto, Juliana Bartolini and Anthony Gjelaj are also set to join the seventh and eighth graders for the Elementary All County Chorus, according to the release. Both performances are scheduled for 4 p.m. March 8 at SUNY Purchase.
