Man, Woman Charged For Midnight Burglary In Northern Westchester
A man and woman from the area were charged with burglary after allegedly being caught inside an occupied Northern Westchester home to remove items inside.
The incident took place in Yorktown around midnight on Thursday, April 21.
The duo were caught when Yorktown Police responded to a 911 call about a man and woman attempting to enter a garage attached to an occupied residence, said Sgt. S. Sansone, of the Yorktown Police.

Two men have been found guilty and sentenced to years in state prison for a violent home invasion in Westchester County.
Trejuan Deas, age 26, and Joshua Emanuel, age 21, both of the Bronx, were sentenced Friday, April 15 for the 2020 home invasion in Yonkers, said Westchester District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah.
The invasion took place around 11 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, when both men forced their way into a Yonkers home and committed multiple crimes against two separate victims inside the house, the DA's Office said.

A Hudson Valley woman has pleaded guilty to two burglaries after failing to show up in court after allegedly falsely claiming she had COVID-19.
Brandi Wickliffe, age 46, of the town of Newburgh, pleaded guilty on Thursday, April 7, under a plea agreement that will recommend she serve six to eight years in state prison, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Prosecutors say that in January 2020, Wickliffe entered a home in the town of Newburgh and stole an X-Box gaming system. After stealing the property, Wickliffe sold the system at a store in Poughkeepsie.

A Hudson Valley man accused of sexually assaulting a housekeeper at Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City has been convicted, authorities said.
On Thursday, March 31, a jury found Ulster County resident Jamel Carlton, age 36, of Saugerties, guilty of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, burglary, aggravated assault and criminal restraint, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Carlton was arrested twice on Feb. 15, 2018, in separate assaults at the hotel, authorities said.
