Westchester's Doug Crane, Master Animator, Cartoonist, Dies At 85 Doug Crane, an animator for Terrytoons, Hanna-Barbera, MTV, Filmation, Oriolo Films, Zander Animation Parlour, as well as former Professor of Animation at SVA, died on Thursday, Dec. 17 after a short battle with cancer. Born in Bronxville, Crane’s love for drawing cartoons and animation began early on. Andrew Cuomo said Monday afternoon.
