Westchester Swimming and Diving Championships Coming Up

WESTCHESTER COUNTY -- Swimmers and divers from across the county will compete during the 88th annual Westchester County Swimming and Diving Championships, starting Monday.

The Rye Playland pool will host the 88th Westchester County Swimming Championships starting July 29.

The events are sponsored by the Westchester County Parks Department and the Westchester County Swimming Association.

The diving competition is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, beginning at 2 p.m. each day at Lake Isle in Eastchester. Divers ages 10-13 will compete Monday, while divers ages 14-17 compete Tuesday. The rain date is Wednesday.

The swimming events will take place July 29 through Aug. 1 at Playland Pool in Rye. Each day's events begin at 4:30 p.m. The rain date is Aug. 2.

The Lake Isle Swim Team won both the boys and girls competitions last year.
