The incident occurred on West Hartsdale Avenue eastbound with the closure from Ridge Road to Hillcrest Road due to a broken Con Edison pole that a motorist crashed into.
During the repairs, the westbound lane stayed open. The broken pole did not impact area residents, none of whom lost power from the break.
The condition of the driver was not available on Thursday afternoon.
