Separate crashes caused gridlock in both directions on I-87 on the new Tappan Zee Bridge and in Rockland County early Saturday evening.

A crash with injuries took out the left lane at the start of the new TZB span in Westchester on northbound (Rockland-bound I-87). There were stop-and-go delays to Route 9 before the lane reopened.

On southbound on I-87 in Rockland, there was a crash at Exit 13 (Palisades Parkway), causing stop-and-go delays to the Spring Valley Tolls.
