The new community banking store at 375 White Plains Road in Eastchester is the first new retail store in Westchester since the bank purchased Wachovia in 2009, according to a news release from the company.

“Not having a store in Eastchester was a gap in our distribution network, considering the town’s ideal location in the heart of Westchester County,” said Eleanor Willets, area president for Metro New York, in the release. “This new store enables us to better assist local residents and businesses with products and services which will help them to succeed financially.”

Wells Fargo has 35 retail stores in Westchester  at locations in Tarrytown, Harrison, Hartsdale, New Rochelle, White Plains, Port Chester, Rye, Rye Brook, Scarsdale, Tuckahoe, White Plains, Ardsley, Yonkers, Larchmont, Mamaroneck and Yonkers, according to the release, and 82 stores and 177 ATMs in the state.

The Eastchester store employs 14 bankers and has an online banking station, according to the release. The store also "features a mural depicting Eastchester’s history, produced in conjunction with the local historical society," according to the release.

“The initial reaction to the Eastchester store has been fantastic and we’re excited to be here,” said Jennifer Subervi, store manager at Eastchester, in the release. “Besides helping customers with their financial needs, my team and I look forward to getting involved in local causes and volunteering.”
